Heelys are high quality street shoes that have a single removable wheel in the heel of each shoe. The shoes are made to last. The outside of the shoes are made of double or triple stitched materials, designed to handle the wear and tear of daily use. The soles of the Heelys are made of an ultra-durable rubber that is more resistant to wear than usual street shoes.

Heelys are designed to be comfortable enough to wear all day long, all week long. They flex like regular shoes and have extra-thick cushioning incorporating gel or sorbothane insoles to give you a soft walk and a smooth ride.

The wheels are custom designed for performance and long, smooth rides with treads durable enough to resist wear, yet flexible enough to absorb some of the shock from the road. The wheels can be easily removed if you are not going to be rolling for a while, and are small enough to fit in a pocket.

• The bearings inside your wheels can get dirty from exposure to water, dust and other elements. Check your wheels and bearings frequently to ensure that they are dry and clean. Heelys does not recommend attempting to remove the bearings contained within your wheels.

• Your wheels will show wear with frequent use or over a prolonged period of time. Heelys replacement wheels are available to buy (see below).

• Always check your wheels before Heeling to ensure that any dirt or small pebbles are removed and that the wheel housing is clean and clear of any foreign objects.

• If your wheels begin to show a wear pattern, try rotating the position (left shoe wheel to the right shoe)

• Heelys does not recommend machine washing your shoes. Use a mild soap with warm water to keep your uppers and outsoles clean.

• Do NOT use water to clean Heelys wheels because the bearings will rust. Wheels can be cleaned with WD-40.

Heelys wheels are designed for performance. The most technical and tested part of the shoes are the wheels. Heelys use custom wheels designed for long, smooth rides. The treads are made of a unique urethane that is durable enough to resist wear, yet flexible enough to absorb some of the shock from the road. Heelys use high-performance micro-bearing to provide a long, smooth ride. The bearings are shielded to reduce the maintenance requirements, and reinforced to handle extreme jumps and tricks. The wheels can be easily removed if you are not going to be rolling for a while, and are small enough to fit in a pocket.

REMOVAL OF WHEELS
• Hold the shoe upside down with the outside edge away from you. Position both thumbs (one on top of the other) against the side of the wheel and as close to the axle as you can.

• Using your thumbs, push on the side of the wheel. Because axles are pressure fitted into the "axle arms"(or temperatures are low), wheel removal may be a bit difficult.

• After the axle is partially out, turn the shoe around and with your thumbs, repeat the procedure by pushing against the other side of the wheel.

INSTALLATION OF WHEELS
• Align the wheel in the "wheel well" and press the axle ends down as far as you can with your thumb.

• Make a fist and hit the wheel with the bottom of your fist to fully seat it in both axle arms.

• Visually inspect the wheel to make sure it is seated and after putting the shoes on, stomp each heel a couple of times to check for seating.
