Our phone number is on every page of our website, and you can contact us during normal business hours. We'll be happy to take your call, give pre-sales advice and answer any questions you may have. Opening times are available on our 'Contact' page. In addition we offer secure online shopping, available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Our VAT registration number is GB-877 915072. All prices on our website are inclusive of VAT @ 15% where applicable, but do not include delivery charges. With Skate Asylum ordering is easy. Use the links on the left-hand side of every page to find what you need, then click the add to basket button for any items that you wish to buy. The contents of your basket are displayed in the box at the top right hand corner on every page so you can see a running total of items you are ordering. After you have finished your selection, click on "Checkout Now" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the ordering process.

When placing your order, please ensure you give the correct contact information as incorrect details will delay processing your order. Although we are happy to deliver goods to an alternative address (eg. your place of employment), your billing name and address must match that of the credit/debit card used for payment. If details don't match, then further checks are carried out to protect both our customers and ourselves from possible fraudulent transactions. Orders are only despatched once they have passed our security checks.

Once you have placed your order and completed the checkout process a confirmation e-mail is automatically sent to you. Please check your incoming e-mails for this. We are finding that due to tighter spam controls on individual pc's, sometimes these e-mails are mistaken for spam and not allowed through to you. If after a short time you haven't received your order confirmation please contact us by phone or e-mail and we can confirm whether your order has been received.

We accept all major credit/debit cards such as Mastercard, Visa, Switch and Solo. We also accept Paypal payments. There are no hidden charges and no extra charge for using a credit card.

There are three payment methods to choose from.

1) Shop Safely Online
We believe that providing a safe shopping environment for our customers is of primary importance. We are accredited to Safebuy and fully abide by their code of ethics.

For your peace of mind all card payments are handled directly by our payment provider PROTX who use the latest encryption technology to keep your credit card and personal details safe and secure. When you place an order on our site and click the 'pay by debit/credit card' option you will be transferred to the Protx payment system. Your details are collected on their secure and encrypted servers, bank authorisation is obtained by them and then notified to us. This basically means that your card details are protected in a secure environment with one of the safest, most trusted systems available and no-one in our company ever sees them. We operate a pre-authorisation system with Protx which means that when you order goods from our site and Protx has obtained authorisation from your bank, the money is not immediately debited from your account. Instead, we only instruct Protx to take payment the day before your order is ready for despatch.

We also accept Paypal payments. You do not need to open a Paypal account to use this service. On choosing the Paypal option you will continue through our standard checkout process and will then be automatically transferred to Paypal's secure payment system to complete the payment process. We never see your card or bank details.

2) Order and Pay by Phone
Although we have complete confidence in the security of our payment systems, we do understand that some people prefer not to enter their card details online. Alternative methods of payment by credit/debit card are by telephone or by registered mail. In both cases we do need your card details, but please be assured that once your order and payment are processed your card details are immediately shredded, we never retain these details.

3) Pay by Cheque
The third way to order is for customers who prefer to pay by cheque. In this case please use the shopping cart as normal and then select "cheque" in the payment option of the checkout page. Print the page out and send it, along with your cheque, delivery address and phone number to:

Please make cheques payable to Skate Asylum. Your order will be processed as soon as your cheque has cleared.

At Skate Asylum we want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are unhappy with the products in any way you may return them within 14 days of receipt, for either a full refund (less delivery charges) or a replacement. All you pay for is the return postage. If the reason for return is because of an error on our part, or the product is faulty, we will also refund the cost of the return postage. Refunds will be made as soon as possible after returned goods are received and checked by us.

In all cases please telephone 01388 607231 or e-mail us using the contact form here before returning an item. You will be issued with a returns number which must be clearly marked on the outside of the package. This will help in the processing of your returned package and avoid any unnecessary delays.

When returning goods, please include in the parcel a note of your name, address, the order number from your invoice, contact telephone number and reason for return. Please also state whether you require a refund or exchange.

We would advise you to at least obtain proof of posting when returning goods, as loss or damage during return shipping is the responsibility of the customer.

Returned items must be in a new and unused condition, with all tags and packaging included. All returns are checked by us before a refund is issued. We will not accept returned goods that are not in a saleable condition.

Please note that dvd's and videos cannot be returned for refund unless sealed as new in their cellophane wrap.

Please note that due to the nature of the sport, we will not replace broken skateboards. Your statutory rights remain unaffected.

- Although great care is taken to ensure that all images, descriptions, specifications and advertising on our website are accurate, they are for suggestion only and subject to change.

- We do our best to deliver goods within the times stated but goods are subject to availability and sometimes delay in delivery is outside of our control. We will not be held liable for delays due to acts of God, industrial action, riots, civil commotion, flood, fire and fuel shortages. Any dates we give for delivery of goods are approximate only and, unless caused by our negligence, we will not be liable for any losses, costs, damages, charges or expenses caused by any delay in delivery.

- Under the Distance Selling Regulations 2000 you have a right to cancel your order for any item purchased through our website within 7 days of receipt.
